Please review our COVID-Specific Rules & Regulations

Please note that Brass, Winds & Percussion, Guitar, Recorders, Special Needs, Speech Arts, Ukulele, and Voice will only be offered in virtual formats in 2021.  This means that recordings will be submitted via YouTube, adjudicators will provide constructive, written critique and feedback via email, and performers will be given marks and rankings in competitive classes.  All performers will be granted access to the recordings submitted by their peers in each class.  Virtual submissions will be eligible for scholarship consideration and Provincials nominations.  Virtual participants will be mailed a copy of the adjudicator’s comments along with their certificate and ribbon for each class.

Strings, Piano, and Harp will all be offered in both virtual and live formats and all live classes will take place in the recital hall at the Guelph Youth Music Centre from April 10th to 30th.  All live participants will be required to agree to accept the terms and conditions of this KMF Waiver for Live Participants when you register online.  Orchestra classes will be offered if permissible under current COVID-19 regulations.

In 2021, unfortunately, no Festival classes will be offered for Bands, Choirs, Keyboard & Digital Piano, or Pipe Organ.

Due to the nature of a virtual Festival, a participant’s eligibility will be limited geographically this year.  Only participants from the following counties/regions will be eligible to enter the Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph in 2021: Kitchener/Waterloo, Brant/Haldimand/Norfolk, Wellington/Dufferin, Grey/Bruce, Hamilton/Wentworth, and Halton/Peel.
